Serves 1 – multiply for number of people or freeze larger quantity

1 cup large flaked oats, we prefer organic 1/4 cup mixed nuts and seeds, we used walnuts, almonds, and sunflower seeds 1/4 cup dried fruit, we used The Organic House toasted coconut flakes, roasted dates, and dried cranberries 1 teaspoon extra virgin canola oil 1 teaspoon pure maple syrup

  1. Spread nuts and oats on a baking sheet and toast in a 350 degree F oven

  2. Mix the oat mixture, dried fruit, extra virgin canola oil, and maple syrup in a bowl.

  3. Return granola to baking sheet and just heat through, about 5 minutes

  4. Serve warm on 1 cup of organic probiotic yoghurt and top with ½ cup of fresh fruit of your choice.

This granola is awesome as a snack to pack and go!

Tip: Toast nuts in a 350 degree F oven until you smell the aroma, about 5 minutes. Watch for golden brown.

Suggestion: Add ½ teaspoon or more or less of your favourite sweet spice…cinnamon, cardamom, pinch of clove, dash of vanilla. Yum!

Suggestion: If using Medjool dates, roast in the oven on 350 degree F or panfry until they are more chewy crunchy and less sticky. Caramelized. Just like natures candy!
